Barb Graduated from Lumen Christi High School (Jackson, Michigan) in 1986. She then went on to receive a Bachelor’s degree from Michigan Tech University in Mathematics with a minor in Biology and completed the necessary requirements of teaching Math grades 6-12. She taught Jr high/high school math for 2 years in Missouri, then stayed home with her children and tutored in Math as a part-time job. In 2011, She went back to teach 6-10th grade math at Lakewood Park Christian School until June 2015. She is currently tutoring High School students in various subjects of Math and looking forward teaching Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 in a homeschool setting. Barb’s husband, Steve, is a professor at IIT and teaches Statistics and Engineering. They partner together to lead a college bible study on Wednesday Nights. She has 4 children Hannah (Dietician at Parkview), Grace (Senior at Mercer University studying English), Joe (Junior at Mercer University studying Engineering) and Emma (Sophomore Berry College studying Elementary Ed.)
