Both will come off of your tuition for each semester. The enrollment fees are non-refundable and will hold your place in the class.

This is year-long class.

Course Descriptions: If you have a student, who has already worked through an Institute for Excellence in Writing course they may enjoy and benefit from this class. The nine units will all be touched on, and basics of the writing process and grammar will be reviewed and reinforced. However, instead of all the source texts and specific topics being supplied, students will be guided to choosing their own subject matter.   There will be a focus on creative forms of writing such as retelling narratives, writing from pictures, reports on a student chosen, enjoyable topic, book and movie critiques, skit writing and short story writing. One of the best ways to improve writing skills is to delve into quality writing so there will be one literature selection to read for each semester along with doing some literary analysis.   This class is open to both junior and senior high students.  A Student Resource Packet will need to be purchased from IEW.
