Course Description:

Once you are away from home, it can be daunting and intimidating figuring out how to feed yourself. In this class we will focus on cooking meals that serve one or two, easily and cheaply. We will discuss how to plan your week so that you are not eating the same thing everyday and you are definitely NOT eating just ramen noodles (Although, they have their place!) We will focus on nourishing, balanced meals that will not only be fun to make but satisfying to your tummy and wallet. The students will compile a small recipe collection that they can recreate at home for their family and later when they strike out on their own.  Students will need access to Google Classrooms.  I will send a link prior to classes starting.

Some possible menu items:

Breakfast bowls, Baked potato bar, Fried Rice, Baby Lasagnas

For students with special needs please contact the teacher.  Some adjustments are possible for dietary restrictions but contact the teacher ahead of time to confirm.
