Tuition / Fees:
$320.00 tuition- A NON-REFUNDABLE enrollment fee of $120.00 is due within 2 weeks of registration to hold your student’s place in the class and allow the teacher to buy any needed supplies. That leaves $100 due on the first day of each semester.
Course Description: If you have a student, who’s already worked through some other writing course they may enjoy and benefit from this class. While we will still be working through the nine units, instead of the focus being report writing the focus will be writing that is more inventive in nature. Retelling narratives, writing from pictures, personal narratives and essays, writing about literature and short story writing will all be covered. This class is open to both junior and senior high students. There will be a literature selection to read each semester since one of the best ways to improve creative writing skills is to read quality creative writing! The students will need a Student Resource Packet from IEW along with a three ring binder and paper for the class.
