Career Explorations – 1st semester

Location: Epiphany Lutheran Church, 6606 Maplecrest Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46835

Grade Level: 8th – 12th grades

Ages: 14 & up

Classes Meet: Mondays

Semester 1(ONLY): Monday, September 11th – November 27th, 2023.

(December 4th will be a make-up day if needed.)

Tuition / Fees: $150.00 tuition. An enrollment fee of $50 is due within 2 weeks of registration and will come off of your tuition. The enrollment fee is non-refundable and will hold your place in the class.

Course Description: This class will help your student begin to examine the path they may want to take after high school and how to best prepare for that path. We will use a variety of assessments and tools, including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and the Holland Code Assessment to gain an understanding of our personalities, strengths, weaknesses, preferences, and how these all influence the way we see ourselves and the world around us. We will use our findings to help determine possible career paths for each student. Students will then develop a plan with action steps to help them in their pursuits. Our class will culminate with a Career Fair, hosted by our class with professionals and representatives from a variety of fields. 

There is a $50 deposit (which will be deducted from your tuition) that is due within 2 weeks of  registration. The deposit is non-refundable and will hold your place in the class. 

This is a ONE Semester class which can count as 1 credit for Career & Technical Education or an Elective. 

Minimum number of students to hold the class is 5 / maximum is 15.
