Course Description: This class will be the Lab part for the Jr. High Physics Class.  We will be utilizing the Christian Kids Explore Physics textbook by Robert Ridlon, Jr. and Elizabeth Ridlon.  The Units covered will include Foundations of Physics, Matter, Mechanics, Matter in Motion, Energy in Motion, and Electricity and Magnetism.  There are 30 lessons in this book.  We will have some weeks that we cover more than one lesson.  This is a good introductory class for studying Physics and is tailored to go hand-in-hand with the Physics Lecture Class taught by Becky Wilkins.  We are collaborating together to give both a hands-on, and classroom lecture experience.  This takes more than just the 50 min. provided, so we created a lecture and a lab class.  You may choose to do just one of these, but we recommend both for the overall best classroom experience.
The lab portion will help kinesthetic learners and also help to drive in points of nature and how the universe behaves.  Understanding physics can help to lead to a lifelong love of learning and creating new advancements with knowledge.  It’s been studied for years, and for lots of reasons, mainly because it’s exciting!
